Giving Back

Being that Southern Sand Volleyball Academy (SSVA)  is a non-profit organization, our mission is to not only grow the sport of Beach Volleyball, but to also give back to the community. Although we are in our infancy as an organization we still will give back to the community. It’s just part of who we are. Some examples of events we are involved in include:

  • Serve the Homeless Charity Volleyball Tournament. For more information about this event go to www.servethehomeless.com.
  • Donated practice time for local NC High School Sand Volleyball Clubs, which is an initiative conceived by co-founder of Southern Sand Volleyball, Mark Nalevanko, in the Fall of 2013.
  • Dig for Duke (Children’s Hospital) Charity Event. For more information about this event go to http://digforduke.com
  • Run-Dig-Rodeo – A multi-activity event featuring a run, volleyball tournaments, and a food truck rodeo that is geared toward the entire Apex and surrounding area community. For more information about this event go to www.rundigrodeo.com.
