Join us in the Sunshine State of Florida for the 3rd Annual Winter Oasis Jr Beach VB Tourney as we cap off 2016 and welcome in 2017!

Specific Event Notes (PLEASE READ!!!):

  • 12/19/16 Update: If a division is not listed in the registration form anymore, the division has been closed for more sign-ups currently as the number of spaces initially allocated have all been taken. If interested in registering still, please email Mark to be put on a wait-list as space may open up still.
  • Divisions offered (subject to interest – minimum of 5 teams or division will be merged or dropped)
      • Girls 18U, 16U, 14U, and 12U,
      • Boys 18U and 14U
      • Club vs Club NCAA-style competition- Open to up to 8 clubs. Any combination of players/teams (and even gender if opposing club can match) can be used for each round of play within this competition
  • Anticipated Format (subject to change): Check-in at 8:30AM for all days.
    • Day 1 – Thurs, Dec 29
      • Pool Play
    • Day 2 – Fri, Dec 30th
      • Bracket Play (Double elimination format)
    • Day 3 – Sat, Dec 31st (Finish by 3PM)
      • Club Day featuring Queen of the Beach and club vs. club competitions. Note: Individual teams can request to participate in queen of the beach as space permits. Make sure to check the appropriate boxes in the below registration form expressing interest. If space is available, additional fee of $20 to be charged at check-in on this day.
  • Attention Beach club reps – If looking to RSVP/pay for several teams, email Southern Sand preferably by end of Nov 30th during the time period where groups of teams will be given priority registration for this event as part of the ESPL Winter Series for clubs. As we get closer to the event, we may not be able to guarantee support of additional large groups of teams so RSVP early.
  • Attention Unaffiliated/Individual teams – You can start to register on Nov 12th with limited spaces offered. Remaining available spaces will be released on Dec 1st. If your division is not listed as having spaces available and you want to be added to a prioritized wait-list before Dec 1st, email Southern Sand with division and player names. If your club is asking teams to sign-up themselves, DO NOT REGISTER BELOW. Instead, please have your club rep RSVP your spot with Southern Sand and then a special payment link will be provided.
  • Location: Hickory Point Beach, Tavares, FL (45 minutes north of Orlando, FL)
  • Cost:
    • Club Rates (Must have teams registered by Nov 30th)
      • If paying via check: $100/team
    • Individual teams/Late Club Team Additions (Dec 1st and later)
      • $110/team
  • Bids for the following events are offered at this event:
    • ESPL Winter Championships on March 25-26 in North Carolina
    • Newly formed American Beach Tour Championships created by several regional volleyball associations within USA Volleyball. Anticipated in late July with location TBA.
  • Need accommodations? Mission Inn Resort (closest accommodations to the competition site) will serve as this event’s host hotel. They are offering deluxe rooms at $119/night with resort fee waived as well on final billing even if it shows up initially. Use group code: 0217G5 (the first character is a zero). Block of rooms reserved for group released after: 11/26/2016 at which time rates are still available subject to room availability. 
  • Registration will close at Noon on Tuesday, December 26th or when full. Up to 21 courts are available for this event.

General Notes:

  • If signing up multiple teams, please register and pay for each team separately. The system is setup to only handle a single team registration at a time.
  • This event is USA Volleyball sanctioned. If you are not a member, join through your regional volleyball association. If in North Carolina, the link to join the Carolina Region/USAV is here. The following age cutoffs are used for this event:
    • 18U – Players who were born on or after Sept 1, 1998, or Players who were born on or after Sept 1, 1997 and a high school student during the current academic year
    • 16U – Players who were born on or after Sept 1, 2000
    • 14U – Players who were born on or after Sept 1, 2002
    • 12U – Players who were born on or after Sept 1, 2004
