Join us for the 2017 Carolina Region Jr Beach Tour Championships on July 15th!
Specific Event Notes:.
- This is a by-invitation-only event. Teams earn bids to either the Open or AA divisions based on high finishes at a Carolina Region Jr Beach tour event. Anyone signing up that did not earn a bid will be removed. If space is left prior to the event, bids will be offered to teams based on rankings from the 2017 season during the 1-2 weeks before the event.
- All Divisions Play on Saturday: Girls 12U 14U, 16U, 18U
- Check-in: 8:00AM. Competition approx. 8:30AM-4PM.
- Format: Pool play followed by playoff brackets. Depending on final field and pool sizes, top teams from each pool will advance to a championships playoff bracket. Remaining teams will compete in consolation bracket as space/time permits. If space permits, we will try to keep pools to 4 so full match play can be incorporated whenever possible. - Locations (about 2 miles apart):
- 12U Only: Apex Community Park – 2200 Laura Duncan Rd, Apex, NC 27523
- All Other Divisions: Southern Sand Volleyball – 6175 Old Jenks Rd, Apex, NC 27523
- Popup canopies, chairs and coolers are permitted at both locations (outside sand area)
- Need accommodations? We have a special rate available at 2 nearby Marriott chain hotels (Courtyard and Residence Inn). Use the following links to get the special code automatically applied:
- Cost: $60/team (special event t-shirt included)
- Awards to top 2 teams in each division.
- Food Truck will be onsite (Southern Sand VB location only) to serve lunch options.
- Registration will open in March 2017 and ends on Wed, July 12th at 11:59PM (or when space fills up). Those teams earning bids sometime between March and June 10-11 must register by Fri, June 23rd to guarantee their spot. Remaining space will then be reserved for the last couple weeks events’ bid earners subject to space availability.
- 7/10 Update: Registration has closed due to space limitations. If still seeking to get in, email Mark.
General Notes:
- If signing up multiple teams, please register and pay for each team separately. The system is setup to only handle a single team registration at a time.
- This event is USA Volleyball sanctioned. If you are not a member, join online here.
